Garlic & Acne

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Garlic can obviously help you to maintain and improve your heart health.  It has been well illustrated and publicized to have that effect.  But for years, many have also used it for skincare and acne care.  Despite its strong smell, it has been used in many natural, at home facials, and it has been used even by ancient Egyptian healers as far back as 3500 years ago.  It can be used effectively speaking to fight off infections in general, which could very well come to include the bacteria and infections associated with acne.  In addition, it can aid the healing of wounds.

So in this way, you can avoid scarring and other skin problems commonly associated with acne.  It can get rid of internal parasites which could actually add to acne from the inside out, they are commonly known as toxins.  It has various other benefits both to the body and the skin, and the studies are showing greater benefits than ever before.  Of course it has always had these properties.  It’s just now that science is actually catching up with those particular facts about garlic.  And this is why so many are now using it in natural treatments as well as more complicated treatment options.
